Nha Be Garment Joint-Stock Corporation (NBC) was founded from the merger of two garment factories: Ledgine and Jean Symi in Saigon Export Processing Zone. At present, with 34 member units and 17,000 employees, it mainly produces and retails garment products for the domestic market and for export. It also operates in financial investment and other services. The corporation has built a system of factories, covering over 50,000m2, which have been equipped with over 13,000 modern specialized machines.
An important turning-point in the corporation’s development procession was the transformation from a state-owned company into a joint-stock company in April, 2005. At that time, the company implemented investment plans in production processes, technology, machines, equipment and workers’ professional skills with the aim at making major products, such as suits and high-class shirts, creating a competitive advantage and directing at key markets like the US, Japan and the EU. 
 

NBC is evaluated as the leading supplier of suits in Vietnam. Its products such as suits, shirts and trousers with familiar brands like Novelty, Cavaldi and Style of Living have been trusted by domestic customers for a very long time. To attract more customers, the corporation manufactures products which are the result of the deliberation in selecting materials and styles, the skillfulness in designing and tailoring, and ensuring quality. All of these are the criteria to best serve consumers. For 14 consecutive years, the consumers have showed their belief in NBC by voting its products as the “Vietnam’s High Quality Products”.
In the international market, NBC is considered one of Vietnam’s leading businesses in producing and processing garments for export with great capacity and experience. For many years, the corporation has directly made many products with famous brands for retailers, including JC Penney, Decathlon and Tommy Hilfiger and has received great praise from its international partners for the products’ quality, level of production and other factors.
