Sago Brand Linhzhi Products

Thanks to advanced production technology and management system, Sai Gon Linh Chi Co., Ltd has produced several herbal products from Linhzhi mushrooms which are in great demand in both domestic and foreign markets.
We had a recent visit to the red Linhzhi mushroom growing farm of the Sai Gon Linh Chi Co., Ltd in Ward 3, Rang Hamlet, Trung Lap Thuong Commune in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City. The farm was established in 2009 for trial purposes by Nguyen Cong Thanh, an overseas Vietnamese in Hungary. Seeing the success of the model of growing Linhzhi mushrooms, Nguyen Cong Thanh decided to establish Sai Gon Linh Chi Co., Ltd to further develop the farm.

On this farm, Linhzhi mushrooms are cultivated in a bio-environment using closed door bio-technology without growing drugs or preservative substances. The whole manufacturing process, such as grafting Linhzhi fungi, tending, harvesting, drying and packaging must be carefully monitored to ensure the product’s hygiene and safety.

The materials used for growing Linhzhi mushrooms are made from wood sawdust and humus which are treated under the company’s solo technology before they are mixed with natural ingredients, such as soya residue and oil cakes. This soil does not include any growing stimulants.

The process of growing Linhzhi mushrooms is regularly and strictly watched to maintain optimum growth conditions, such as temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, light intensity and nutrients. After being harvested, Linhzhi mushrooms are dried, sliced and sterilized by Ultraviolet light and packed using vacuum technology to preserve the products. Apart from this farm, the company also has some satellite farms that can provide enough materials for production.

According to the book entitled “1000 medicinal herbs and animals for making medicines in Vietnam”, Linhzhi mushroom, also scientifically known as Ganoderma luciidum, has long been renowned for its ability to increase the resistance and refine the complexion. The company’s Sago Linhzhi products have been recognized by the Ministry of Health for their potency for health, such as strengthening the immune system and the heart, boosting energy, improving memory, promoting good circulation, restoring health, lowering blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar, supporting anti aging and the treatment of liver diseases and cancers and preventing cancers.

During the process of being used by customers, the company’s sliced and packaged Linhzhi, Linhzhi jelly and Linhzhi spore products have proved their benefits for health. Therefore, after only three years of operation, the company has affirmed its trademark in the domestic market and in some foreign countries in Southeast Asia. Sago Linhzhi mushroom products are exported to some countries in the EU, including Hungary, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Austria, France and Germany, and Russia and some US states. At AGROVIET 2010 and AGROVIET 2012 (the International Agriculture Trade Fair in Vietnam), the company’s sliced and packed Linhzhi products won a gold medal. It is an encouraging result of the company that helps affirm the products’ quality and prestige.

Besides developing Linhzhi cultivating farms and helping farmers grow precious and rare medicinal herbs, including red Linhzhi mushrooms, the company targets directly making products of high value, instead of selling raw products at a low price as in previous years so it attracts many farmers and domestic and international organizations who visit the company to gain experience on growing and producing Linhzhi mushrooms.

With Sago brand Linhzhi products, the company has made a great contribution to protecting and taking care of people’s health. In the future, the company has plans to further promote its trademark in the international market.
