In recent years, a lot of construction has been done in the provinces in southern Vietnam, particularly in the Cuu Long River Delta. To successfully build these infrastructural facilities, it is partly attributed to the contribution of high-quality concrete products brand named BCC-620.
BCC-620 is the abbreviated name of 620 Binh Minh Concrete Corporation. Previously, the corporation was a member of 620 Chau Thoi Concrete Corporation. Its forerunner was Duc Da Be Tong Tien Ap Chau Thoi Construction that was established in 1958, under the US RMK Construction Group. After 1975, it was taken over by the state and its name was changed into Chau Thoi Concrete Factory and then 620 Chau Thoi Concrete Joint-Stock Company in 2000. After building the My Thuan Bridge, the My Thuan Construction Team of the company shifted to manufacturing pre-cast concrete components in Binh Minh District, Vinh Long Province for building the Can Tho Bridge in particular and works in the Cuu Long River Delta in general. On July 1, 2004, the unit became 620 Binh Minh Concrete Corporation.

After one year of operation, the corporation, with its initial staff of 90 cadres and workers, has seen a drastic development, affirming its trade mark with major projects. To meet the increasing demand of infrastructural construction and to create a breakthrough for the bridge and road sector in Vietnam, the corporation expanded its facilities and invested in production lines and equipment. Additionally, the corporation has paid much attention to training and improving employees’ professional skills and management ability and changing the corporation’s operating structure, suitable to the reality of the industry.
The corporation considers the quality of products and the satisfaction of customers as a basis for sustainable development. For this reason, it invested in building a modern lab that was granted a LAS-XD484 certificate by the Ministry of Construction. The lab has played an important role in checking and managing technical parameters and the quality of input materials and finished products.
According to Nguyen Hung, CEO of BCC-620, besides a staff of professional engineers and skilled workers who are considered an invaluable asset of the corporation, the corporation often updates and invests in technologies and specialized equipment. All this helps create high-quality products, meeting the demands of customers.
Traditional products of BCC-620 are beams with an aperture of 35-40m, 60-70 tonnes in weight, L-shaped concrete beams with an aperture of 24.54-33m and sewers with a diameter of 300-2,000mm, 1-4m in length.
All the products of the corporation are manufactured with European technology and the evaluation of Quality Assurance and Testing Centre 3. The products also meet Vietnam’s Construction Standard 389-2007 and QUASER ASTM/C76M-05b certificate.
The corporation has applied a quality management system according to the ISO 9001 standard, from 2000 to 2008 versions.
Apart from production, BCC-620 also provides a service of transporting super long and super heavy concrete products, conducting experiments and checking the durability and composition of construction materials.
Thanks to high-quality products, BCC-620 with a staff of 140 cadres and workers has become Vietnam’s leading supplier of products for traffic and industrial construction. Its products have been used for many major projects in southern Vietnam, such as the Can Tho Bridge, Rach Mieu Bridge, Ham Luong Bridge, Ho Chi Minh Trail, Highway 1A and Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Complex.
