Austdoor: Ensuring safe homes

Established in 2003, Austdoor is now a leading manufacturer of roller shutters in Vietnam. The company’s diverse products, including roller shutters, and plastic, aluminum and wooden doors, not only sell well at home, but are exported to other countries.
General Director Duong Quoc Tuan said he started Austdoor with a small workshop in Ngoc Hoi industrial zone in Hanoi with a modest capacity of 20,0000 m2/year. In those early days, Tuan had already signed a technology transfer deal with B&D, an Australian roller shutter maker, with the idea of producing modern doors of advanced technology in Vietnam.

After 16 years, Austdoor now has five factories. They are in Hung Yen, Nghe An and Dong Nai provinces, of which Yen My in Hung Yen is the biggest in Vietnam with an annual capacity of 350,000m2. The group, with a total staff of more than 1,000, is the only coiling door producer which has a dealer network nationwide. It has over 500 dealers and 2,000 retailers in all provinces and cities.

Austdoor regards technological renovation as the key to its development. The group has made major investments in research and development to improve product quality and to cater to market demands. From the Australian technology, Austdoor has developed quality products to meet the demands of local consumers.

Austdoor is not only the top roller shutter maker in Vietnam, but is an emerging competitor in the industry in Southeast Asia. The group has exported its products to Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. It is targeting Singapore and other Southeast Asian markets this year.

Austdoor is also planning to expand its new product line, Topal aluminum doors, which were launched in 2017. The group wants to build Topal into an internationally recognized brand of aluminum doors.
