Vietnam – Japan Fashion Colours

Vietnam Fall-Winter Fashion Week 2016 with the participation of the Koran College of Fashion Design (Japan) and other Vietnamese designers have treated the public to a colourful fashion feast.
30 designs from Koran College kicked off the show. They used Japanese traditional textiles of Hakata-ori and Katsuri but still presented a young and active spirit.

Koran’s Principal acknowledged: “Designs brought to Vietnam Fall-Winter Fashion Week have been closely supervised by our teachers and myself. I hope these designs can be welcomed by Vietnamese and international youngsters”.

While Koran’s designs presented the typical styles of Japan with delicacy and studiousness, the works of students at London College for Design and Fashion showed their unique creativity. They expressed a desire for new horizons in fashion with youthful and romantic designs.

Xuan Hao, a famous Vietnamese designer, introduced his collection with inspiration from Hue Citadel. The combination of traditional colours, imperial patterns and modern leather materials provides innovative designs for fashion enthusiasts.

Designer Minh Hanh said the Vietnam Fall-Winter Fashion Week is an annual and professional occasion for the Vietnamese fashion circle, following Italy-Vietnam Fashion Council in Hanoi. The professional and specialised exchange between designers through these occasions will empower the Vietnamese fashion industry in integrating into the world’s fashion circles.
