US-DPRK Summit 2019: Stamp celebrating summit to be issued

A stamp collection commemorating the DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam is set be issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 26.

It will be launched one day ahead of the historic meeting between President of the United States Donald Trump and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong-un, scheduled to take place in Hanoi on February 27-28.

The stamp also includes messages introducing Vietnam as a safe and friendly destination and Hanoi as the City for Peace, which voices the country’s efforts in addressing global issues and thereby contributing to building peace in the region and the world.

It was designed by painters Nguyen Du and To Minh Trang of the Vietnam Post.

On the occasion of the summit, the Vietnam Post will set up a booth at the event’s International Media Centre to provide postal services for the over 3,000 domestic and international journalists and reporters.

The international media centre, located at the Cultural Friendship Palace at No. 91 Tran Hung Dao street, will officially begin operations on February 26. It is capable of hosting more than 3,000 reporters at the same time and is fully equipped with modern facilities serving reporters’ needs.
