Can Tho Longan Enters Harvest Season

Can Tho city has a total longan cultivation area of 5,853ha, of which 648ha is for thanh nhan (bright yellow-fleshed longan), with total output of 66,670 tons. 

Thanh nhan is considered the 'king of longans' with large fruits, thick flesh, small seeds and a slightly sweet taste, so it is favoured by many customers. Can Tho city is entering peak harvest season for this king fruit in Tho Hung commune, promising a bumper harvest and high income for farmers.
