MOFA holds press conference on preparations for DPRK-US Hanoi Summit

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on February 25 held a press conference on the preparation for the upcoming DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit at the summit’s international media center in Hanoi.

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, and Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung co-chaired the conference.

The press conference is held at the Friendship Cultural Palace at 91 Tran Hung Dao street, Hoan Kiem district.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung said that Vietnam will provide the best conditions for the second DPRK-USA Summit. The event that has grabbed global attention is a good chance for Vietnam to promote its foreign policy and show its wish to join hands in building peace in the region and the world.

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said about 3,000 foreign journalists of 200 news agencies and media organizations from 40 countries, along with nearly 500 Vietnamese reporters, have registered to cover the event. 

Hanoi, which has hosted many international events, has made all preparations to ensure the successful organization of the summit, said Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung./.
