Latin American diplomats pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

Hanoi, December 17 (VNA) – Delegations from Latin American and Middle Eastern embassies in Hanoi led by Venezuelan Ambassador Jorge Rondon Uzcategui, laid wreaths and paid tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum on December 17.

The activity was held to commemorate the 187th death anniversary of Venezuela’s national liberation hero Simon Bolivar, and pay honour to the great Vietnamese leader, contributing to tightening the friendship between Vietnam and Latin American nations.

Simon Bolivar (1783-1830) was the greatest leader of Latin America's independence movement in the beginning of the 19th century. The struggle led by him helped six countries - Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia – gain independence from Spain.

Vietnam, US work to step up agricultural cooperation

Vietnam has strengths in tropical farm produce, seafood and wooden products, while the US is a major supplier of key inputs such as soybeans, corn, wheat and dairy products. This trade structure creates a balanced supply chain with little direct competition, delivering tangible benefits to businesses and consumers in both countries.
