International Travel Expo – Ho Chi Minh City 2019 opens

A gala themed Huong sac Viet Nam (Soulful Vietnam) was held by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism on September 4 to kick off the 15th International Travel Expo – Ho Chi Minh City (ITE-HCMC) 2019.

Addressing the event, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien highlighted the development of Vietnam’s tourism sector, and highly appreciated contributions of the business community at home and aboard to the sector’s achievements.

The 15th ITE-HCMC 2019, which takes place from September 5 – 7, features 315 booths, up 366 percent from 2005, and introduces destinations and tourism products of Vietnam and countries in the Asia – Pacific region.

On the display are also new tourism products and tourism technologies that will help travel startups to promote their images and seek investors and partners.

Besides, many tourism products like leisure tourism, conference and workshop tourism, cuisine tourism and health care tourism will be introduce at the event

The event includes a meeting of 1,000 managing directors of travel firms, Cambodia night and Khanh Hoa night.

At the gala, participants were introduced culture, cuisine and traditional arts of Vietnam.
