Exchange event brings Vietnam closer to Indian students

New Delhi, October 27 (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in New Delhi, India on October 27 held a meeting with over 100 local high school students and teachers to introduce the nation and people of Vietnam as well as the partnership between the two countries. 

The event was part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties and 10 years of bilateral strategic partnership. 

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh highlighted some characteristics of Vietnam such as area, population, culture as well as the connectivity between the two countries. 

He said that there are abundant interesting things of Vietnam and India that Indian students can explore during this exchange programme. 

Meanwhile, Cultural Counsellor Vu Thi Anh Phuong briefed participants on the history, culture and people of Vietnam as well as outstanding attainments of the country so far. 

The Indian students gave various questions on the political, economic and educational cooperation between the two countries, as well as defence history of Vietnam and the East Sea issues. 

They also excitedly joined games on exploring Vietnam. 

At the event, Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh also officially introduced a website on Vietnam-India friendship at www.vietnamindiafriendship.in, and some Vietnam trip programmes for Indian students.
