Hanoi, September 21 (VNA) – Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defence Minister, Sen. Lieut. Gen Phan Van Giang hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 21 for Deputy Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie of Cambodia, Gen. Phoung Siphin.
Giang said bilateral defence ties have made important contributions to the effective and practical development of Vietnam-Cambodia ties.
In the near future, both sides need to boost personnel training cooperation and the exchange of visits at all levels, he said.
Siphin thanked agencies and units for providing favourable conditions for the delegation to learn from experience in military management and training, political and ideological education, contributing to strengthening trust between the two armies and peoples.
