10th Latin American Music Gala held in Hanoi

The 10th Latin American Music Gala was organised in Hanoi on January 4 to mark the 60th anniversary of Cuba’s revolution and welcome New Year 2019.

Attending the event were over 200 delegates, including leaders of Vietnamese ministries and Hanoi, members of the Vietnam Friendship Associations with Latin American countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela, Vietnamese people who used to learn and work in these countries, together with Ambassadors of the countries.

The event aimed to promote cultures of Latin American countries, intensify solidarity and friendship between peoples of Vietnam and the regional nations, and boost people-to-people diplomacy of Hanoi capital city.

Vice President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations Tran Thi Phuong stressed that over the past years, Vietnam has received valuable support and sentiments from the Governments and peoples of Latin American nations.

The music gala is to show Vietnam’s gratitude toward friends form Latin America, she added.

At the event, participants were offered a chance to enjoy songs and dances with Latin American style.
