The “Co Ba xu Viet” collection by Vo Viet Chung left a strong impression on the audience. It is his most successful collection in 2013 which has been showcased at a series of great cultural events domestically and internationally. The designer is credited with preserving the material called “Lanh My A”, a famous material made by artisans in Tan Chau, An Giang in southern Vietnam. This material is quite durable and cool in the summer while warm in the winter. On the flaps of Ao dai, stylized lotus, daisies and ancients patterns are sophisticatedly embroidered that make the wearers look graceful and smart.

With patterns printed using a graphic technique, the Ao dai designs in Nguyen Cong Tri’s collection shows the typical features of Saigon (present-day Ho Chi Minh City), streets’ names, faces or streets. It is a new fangled feature and a harmonious blend between the modern and traditional beauty.

The show aimed at honouring the traditional cultural values and talents of Vietnamese designers.
