Women’s ASIAN Cup 2022 qualifers: Vietnam in same group with Tajikistan, Maldives, Afghanistan

Vietnam is in Group B which also sees Tajikistan, Maldives, Afghanistan following a draw for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2022 Qualifers in Kuala Lumpur on June 24.

The Vietnamese women’s team, the top-seeded in the group, is now placed 33rd in the latest FIFA rankings. Meanwhile, Tajikistan ranks 135th, Maldives 144th and Afghanistan 152nd.

Twenty-eight teams are divided into eight groups with four seed groups.

Champions Japan, second runners-up Australia and third runners-up China together with the hosts India are eligible for the final round.

The tournament is scheduled to take place in India from January 20 to February 6./.
