Vingroup – Vietnam’s Leading Conglomerate

With  sound operation and development orientations devised by  its leaders together with a staff of professional and experienced employees, Vingroup has now become one of Vietnam’s leading private multi-sector economic groups with products and services of international standards.
Vingroup was founded in August, 1993 in Kharkov City, Ukraine by a group of Vietnamese youths  using the name “Technocom”, which was mainly involved in the food production industry. After growing as one of the largest and most influential companies in Ukraine by the early 21st century, Technocom looked to Vietnam to expand its business in real estate and hospitality with the initial key brands of Vincom – property and Vinpearl – tourism in 2000.

The two brands merged into Vingroup Joint-stock Company in 2012, which has since developed into one of the most dynamic, successful conglomerates in Vietnam. It now owns a series of the best-in-class property complexes and mixed-use urban and resort-recreational complexes in Vietnam, stretching across major urban centres such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, and Da Nang which have been highly recognised by the market. They are Vincom Center Hanoi, Vincom Center Ho Chi Minh City, Vincom Village, Times City and Royal City, the Vinpearl  Nha Trang Amusement Complex, Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang, Vinpearl Land and Vinpearl Luxury Nha Trang.

In 2015, the group’s revenue reached 33,829 billion dong, an increase of 23% over 2014. Real estate assignment alone reached 10,184 billion, setting a record increase of 13% over the same period of the last year.
Recently it has developed strategic brand groups, such as Vinhomes (residential development), Vinpearl (amusement and tourism), Vinmec (high-grade medical services), Vinschool (education); VinEcom (e-commerce); Vincom Office (offices for lease); Vinmart (retail system); Vincharm (beauty and health care); VinDS (retail shop chain) and VinEco (agriculture). In addition, international service quality is also an important objective Vingroup is pursuing in order to provide perfect products and services to compete with international groups.

Vingroup now owns 13 large trade centres, mainly in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Da Nang and  Phu Quoc which provide customers with “the all in one” services of amusement, food and shopping. By the end of 2016, the number of trade centres of this group is expected to reach about 40 in 20 provinces and cities nationwide. By the end of 2015, it had 7 five-star hotels and resorts with sea villas with 4,000 high-end rooms.

Targeting the mid and high class clients in the country and foreigners, the group pays much attention to invest in deluxe trade centres and apartments with the best services.

With its new strategies, the Vincom – Vingroup brand will further develop to become a Vietnamese brand, contributing to making local identity and intelligence shine on the international business arena.
