Vietnam’s National Day celebrated abroad

Hanoi, September 2 (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan held a ceremony on September 1 to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945). 

Nearly 400 delegates, including senior officials from the Japanese government and parliament, were brought together at the event. 

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong said he hoped the sound relations between the two countries will continue growing in the coming time for regional and global peace, stability and prosperity. 

Secretary of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan Nikai Toshihiro affirmed Japan continues providing support for Vietnam. 

While celebrating Vietnam’s National Day in Buenos Aires the same day, Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Dang Xuan Dung said reiterated Vietnam’s hope to boost friendship and cooperation with Argentina. 

He cited two-way trade reached a record of over 3 billion USD in 2016, tenfold after nearly one decade. Argentina is the second biggest trade partner of Vietnam in the Latin America, while Vietnam is the second important market of Argentina in Asia and fourth largest export market of the South American country in the world.
