Viet Nam’s world-renowned concert pianist Dang Thai Son has been awarded the highest distinction – the Golden Medal for Merit to Culture “Gloria Artis”.

“I am speechless. It is hard to believe but that is destiny: five decades of relations with Poland,” the pianist told Vietnam News yesterday.

The awards ceremony was held yesterday with the participation of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Vu Dang Dung. The award is a departmental decoration of Poland in Arts awarded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland to persons and organisations for distinguished contributions to or protection of the Polish culture and national heritage.
