Vietnamese child models attend Malaysia Fashion Week

Twelve Vietnamese child catwalk models will participate in the Malaysia Fashion Week 2018, which is taking place in Kuala Lumpur.

The models, aged 9 to 15, are from the Sao Style Academy of Hanoi, an institute of modelling and acting which offers training courses in fashion modelling, catwalk and photography for children.

One of the young talents is Cao Huu Nhat, 9, who has modelled for more than four years.

Last year, Nhat appeared in several shows at the 2nd Vietnam Junior Fashion Week in Ho Chi Minh City. He was featured in the latest collections by leading foreign and Vietnamese fashion houses and designers during the two-day event.

He won the title of Prince at the Prince and Princess International 2017 contest in Thailand.

Last week, he won the prize for Best Photo at the Luxury Brand Model Awards in the Republic of Korea, after beating dozens of big competitors from 20 countries and territories around the world.

“Malaysia Fashion Week 2018 will help our new talents develop their catwalk professional career in the future,” said Le Tran Dac Ngoc, a stylist and catwalk trainer of the Sao Style Academy.

Nhat and his colleagues will appear in a ready-to-wear collection created by Vietnamese fashion designers from Dac Ngoc Design House. Most of the designs use high-quality materials.

The Malaysia Fashion Week 2018 started on November 19 and will close on November 25.
