Vietnam wins three gold medals at international aerobics championship

The Vietnamese delegation brought home three gold medals at the 30th Suzuki FIG World Cup 2019 in aerobic gymnastics, which wrapped up in Tokyo, Japan on April 14.

Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi, Le Hoang Phong, Vuong Hoai An, Nguyen Che Thanh and Nguyen Viet Anh triumphed in the Group category above 18 years old.

Meanwhile, the second gold medal was carried off by Huynh Tien Phuoc and Thai Trinh Hong Phu in Mixed Pairs under age 17.

Thai Trinh Hong Phu and Nguyen Vo Quynh Nhu and Hoang Gia Bao snatched the third gold medal for Vietnam in Trios under age 17.

Vietnamese athletes also won three silver and three bronze medals at the event.

The contest drew competitors from 22 countries and territories, including the US, China, the Republic of Korea, Spain and host Japan.
