Vietnam, Israel businesses sign health care cooperation deal

The signing was witnessed by visiting Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, among others.

The project covers 20 hectares with three main components, including an electronic hospital and centre applying electronic medical records to allow doctors to review a patient’s medical history online.

A five-star general hospital will be built, using the latest technology and modern equipment. In the first phase, the hospital is expected to have 300 beds.

At the same time, a nursing and rehabilitation centre will also be constructed, providing a friendly and natural environment for the recovery of patients.

A centre for medical consultation, research and development will also be developed.

According to Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Meirav Eilon Shahar, besides stepping up cooperation in agriculture, Israel and Vietnam are also focusing on health care partnership.
