Vietnam Airlines wins three prestigious travel awards

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has recently been named the World’s Leading Cultural Airline, World’s Leading Airline - Premium Economy Class, and World’s Leading Airline – Economy Class at this year’s prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA).

This is the fifth consecutive year it retained prestigious awards from the WTA, reaffirming the airline’s commitment to bringing customers the highest quality service, in line with its impressive four-star Skytrax ranking.

According to founder and president of the awards Graham Cooke, despite formidable challenges the aviation sector has faced this year, Vietnam Airlines continues to show its remarkable efforts in improving service quality and upgrade its fleet.

He was delighted that Vietnam Airlines has been acknowledged by both the travel trade and the public by being voted World’s Leading Airline - Premium Economy and Economy Class, and World’s Leading Cultural Airline.

The carrier’s Vice General Director Trinh Hong Quang described the awards as a vivid illustration for the airline’s dedication as well as concerted efforts to better service quality and contribute to the regional and global aviation’s recovery from pandemic.

This year marks a new milestone for Vietnam Airlines as it launched the premium economy class on domestic flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with service standards nearly equivalent to that of business class. The premium economy class is being served on flights between Vietnam and Japan, the Republic of Korea, western Europe and Australia.

Meanwhile, economy class passengers continue to benefit from the airline’s fleet development roadmap towards a five-star airline, with new aircraft generations sush as Boeing 787-10, Boeing 787-9, Airbus A350 and Airbus A321neo, and wireless streaming services.

Vietnam Airlines’ four-star services are characterised by a distinctive touch of Vietnam’s enchanting traditional culture. From Pho – a tasty traditional dish served on board – to the Ao dai (traditional long dress) worn by cabin crew and the signature Golden Lotus logo, passengers can easily recognise Vietnam’s most iconic features in the airline’s products and services, both in flight and on the ground.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate the best providers in travel, tourism, and hospitality. The WTA is known as the ‘Oscars of the tourism industry’ and is widely identified as a prestigious certification that recognises the best tourism and travel brands globally./.
