Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice from India.

It had been long practiced in Vietnam, but became commonly known in 1959. In 2015, as many as 8,000 people participated in the first International Day of Yoga in Vietnam.

The word yoga means to unite. Through physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation, yoga draws mind, body and spirit together.

Today it is practiced around the world and continues to grow in popularity.

In December 2014, the United Nations designated June 21 International Day of Yoga, gathering support from over 190 countries, including Vietnam.
