VTV to broadcast Euro 2020

Vietnam Television (VTV) has won the broadcasting rights for 2020 European Championship (Euro) in Vietnam.

The television station yesterday announced the deal with UEFA.

The deal includes cable TV, satellite, terrestrial, mobile, IPTV, internet, public screening and social media rights.

VTV has the rights to produce and provide match and clips, and re-license the UEFA Euro 2020 media copyright to third-parties.

The tournament will feature a break from tradition as no country will host it, with matches held in 12 cities in 12 countries, with the final at Wembley in London.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Portugal are the defending champions after beating France 1-0 in the final in 2016.
