Vietravel expands presence in potential Australian market

Vietnam’s leading tour operator Vietravel on March 9 opened its representative office in Sydney, Australia.

This is the second representative office of Vietravel in Australia, after the first was inaugurated in Melbourne in 2016. The Sydney office is the seventh of its kind opened abroad by Vietravel.

Vietravel Chairman and CEO Nguyen Quoc Ky said that the company will pay attention to overseas markets in the next five years.

The opening of overseas representative offices helps Vietravel and Vietnam’s tourism sector as well to actively exploit the international market and meet requirements on service quality, he said.

Vietnam welcomed more than 380,000 Australian tourists in 2018, of whom 7,000 used Vietravel’s services, Ky revealed.

After the initial successes of the representative office in Melbourne, the company decided to establish the new one in Sydney with the hope of doubling the figure in the 2019-2020 period, he added.
