Vietnamese marksman claims world shooting bronze medal

Hanoi, May 26 (VNA) – Marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh won a bronze medal in the men’s 10m air pistol event at the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup in Munich, Germany.

Vinh, who ranks fourth in the qualifying round, scored 179.8 points in the final to finish in third place.

Omelchuk Oleh of Ukraine came out on top with 201.9 points while Keles Ismail of Turkey took silver medal on 201.1 points.

This is the only medal Vietnam won at the event that closed on May 26. It is Vinh’s second medal from the beginning of the year.
