Vietnamese Local Specialties Fair 2017 opens

Hanoi, November 24 (VNA) – The Vietnamese Local Specialities Fair 2017 opened at the square of Vincom Mega Mall Royal City in Hanoi on November 23, with some 200 businesses introducing typical products from 55 cities and provinces nationwide.

Now in its third year, the annual fair has become a prestigious trade promotion channel. The products at the 250 booths are all selected carefully, are certified and meet quality and food safety standards.

At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toan said that the fair has become a key event to help localities’ products join the supply-consumption chain in Hanoi.

It has also connected domestic agricultural producers with importers and modern retail systems, helping them ship to foreign countries, Toan noted.

The fair will run until November 26.
