Vietnam, Israel strengthen defence ties

Hanoi, January 12 (VNA) – Chief of the Defence Cooperation and Exports of the Israel Ministry of Defence Mishel Ben Baruch has pledged effective cooperation between his agency and relevant agencies of Vietnam’s Ministry of Defence.

The visiting Israeli officer made the promise during his meeting with Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh, in Hanoi on January 11.

Vietnam-Israel defence ties have developed well, contributing to deepening friendly relations as well as mutual understanding between the militaries and peoples of the two countries, stressed Pham Ngoc Minh at the meeting.

He noted that both sides will see opportunities to boost bilateral defence ties in 2017.
