Vietnam brings home four Asian wushu golds

Hanoi, September 7 (VNA) - Vietnam wrapped up the Asian Wushu Championships with four gold medals, eight silver medals and five bronze medals on September 5 in Chinese Taipei.

In the final day of competition, Vu Minh Duc (men’s 48kg), Dinh Van Huong (men’s 52kg) and To Van Bau (men’s 56kg) won their titles in the sanda (sparring) events.

Their teammates, Hoang Thi Luan (women’s 48kg), Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy (women’s 52kg), Nguyen Thi Trang (women’s 65kg), Chu Thi Thuy Hang (women’s 70kg), Hoang Van Cao (men’s 65kg) and Hang Khai Giang (men’s 75kg) won sanda silver medals.

Earlier, the Vietnamese team earned one gold medal, one silver medal and four bronze medals in the taolu (performance) discipline.
