Hanoi, December 21 (VNA) – Hoang Thu Thao won the best national costume award and was among the top 10 at Miss Tourism International 2016, which was held on December 18 in Shanghai, China.
The pageant attracted 55 participants from 55 countries.
Thao said she was disappointed for not winning more awards at the competition, yet being among the top 10 was an achievement for her and she would engage in more art activities to affirm herself following the competition.
Thao also participated in Miss Asia Pacific 2016 held in the Philippines in November where she did not win any award. She was then sent to participate at the Miss Tourism International 2016 in China by the Department of Performing Arts.
Thao was born in 1994, graduated from Vietnam Maritime University and is 1m72.
