On June 27, 1923, Nguyen Ai Quoc, holding a passport with the name Chen Vang, got off the vessel Karl Liebknecht and left Hamburg, Germany, for the port of Petrograd, now St. Petersburg, in Russia.
Captain Morozov, an employee at the St. Petersburg port management board, takes a tour group through the famous Russian shipyards in St. Petersburg.
Though he’s passed through here many times, this trip was a little different for Morozov because he was reminded of stories about Uncle Ho, including the place where he arrived 98 years ago.
Kalganov said St. Petersburg will accelerate a project erecting a statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the city and continue to document the places where he lived and worked, so that people can better understand his story and his journey to find a way to liberate Vietnam./.
