Bui Thi Thu Thao brought home a bronze medal at the eighth Asian Indoor Athletics Championship, which opened at the Aftab-e Enqhelab Stadium in Tehran, Iran, on February 1. 

 

Thao finished third in the women’s triple jump with 13.22m. 

 

Besides Thao, Nguyen Thi Oanh also brought home a bronze medal in the women’s 3,000m category, with a time of 9 min 48.48 sec. 

 

Oanh won two gold medals at the SEA Games last year in the 5,000m and 1,500m. 

 

Vietnam sent three athletes to compete in the event, which continues until February 3.-VNA/VNP
