Mobile service subscribers can join the programme by texting ‘BC’ to 1406. Each text message will contribute 20,000 VND (0.88 USD) to the fund.
The two-month campaign, running until April 28, aims to ease difficulties and improve livelihood of poor women in those areas.
After the first two days, it received more than 5,400 text messages.
In 2019, the campaign raised in excess of 2.5 billion VND, equivalent to nearly 300 aid packages for disadvantaged households in border localities./.
