Sixth working day of NA during 9th session

The National Assembly (NA) spent most of the morning on May 26 to discuss online a number of contentious contents in the draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Organisation of the NA.

The NA also heard a proposal on the draft law on environmental protection (revised) and a report verifying the draft law.

In the afternoon, the NA continued with their online meeting. The deputies heard a report of the NA Standing Committee which explained issues raised during previous debates on the draft investment law (revised) and adjustments made to the draft based on acquired feedback. They then discussed matters of difference in the draft law.

Following the discussion, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung gave more explanations on issues of deputies’ concern.

On May 27, the NA is scheduled to look into a report of the NA’s supervision team on the implementation of policies and laws on preventing and fighting the abuse of children. The sitting will be broadcast live on national television and radio channels as well as the NA’s TV channel./.
