Qatar Airways will open direct services to the central coast city of Da Nang later this year, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center reported.

Starting from December, the carrier will operate four weekly flights from Doha to Da Nang using Boeing 787-8 jetliners with 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class.

The central city will be the third Vietnamese destination, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, to have direct flights from Qatar.
The Doha-based airline’s existing services to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have recorded notable growth. Qatar Airways started direct services to Ho Chi Minh City in 2007 and expanded its operations to Hanoi three years later.

There are now 24 international airlines operating 15 direct flights to Da Nang international airport. Qatar Airways’ new flights are expected to boost tourist arrivals to the central coast city from the Middle East.
