Preparations in full swing for Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival

The provincial People’s Committee has decided on 50 activities for the festival, which is outlined at www.nhatrangfestival.vn and several central and local publications.

The province has also worked with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and 15 centrally-run cities and provinces to promote the festival on local websites.

The opening and closing ceremonies and major activities of the festival will be held at the April 2 Square, where a 10,000-seater stand is being constructed.

Local police, fire fighting, border guard and military forces have devised plans to ensure political security and social order and safety for the festival.

The province has also paid attention to ensuring food and traffic safety, providing healthcare for festival goers and stabilising prices of hotels, tourism services and consumption products.

The biennial festival is estimated to cost more than 28 billion VND (1.23 million USD), of which 17.3 (761,000 USD) will be funded by enterprises.
