The fifth annual international kite festival wrapped up in the southern province of Ba Ria –Vung Tau on May 11, with eye-catching kite flying displays leaving a deep impression on visitors.
Up to 135 artisans, with 65 hailing from overseas, participated in the three-day festival themed “Flying Vietnam”.
Tens of thousands of visitors and locals gathered at Vung Tau Intourco Resort, the venue of the event, to enjoy the spectacle.
The 2.2 billion USD BOT project has a designed capacity of 1,200MW with two turbines, each generating 600MW. The plant is expected to secure power supply for the central region and nearby provinces, supporting the development of industry, agriculture and services.
