Hoi An lights up to welcome New Year

Hoi An ancient town in the central province of Quang Nam will host a lantern festival with a kaleidoscope of activities, including lantern arrangements, artistic performances, “A night on the Hoai River”, and floating floral garlands to welcome in the New Year.

The festival will open on December 24 and run until February 15, featuring a Hoi An lantern-making contest, artistic arrangements of lanterns, and lantern decorations on streets and at tourist destinations to honour the ancient town’s traditional craft.

Following a hiatus due to COVID-19, the “Hoi An Memories Land” show will reopen to tourists on weekends starting from December 18, with brilliant art performances and more than 20 cultural mini-shows./.
