The Hanoi Tourism Festival 2026 is set to take place at Thong Nhat Park from March 13 to 15, aiming to promote the capital as a safe, friendly and experience-rich destination for both domestic and international visitors, the municipal Department of Tourism said.
Held under the theme “Hanoi – Green Tourism, Digital Experience”, the festival is part of the city’s 2026 investment, trade and tourism promotion programme. Its opening ceremony is scheduled for the evening of March 13 at the park’s main stage, featuring a special music programme with the participation of many young artists.
According to the organisers, the festival will feature nearly 100 booths designed as a multi-experience journey showcasing Hanoi’s culture, technology and sustainable tourism potential.
The “Memory” space will recreate the charm of Hanoi through models of heritage sites, traditional architecture, old streets and craft villages, alongside photography and art exhibitions highlighting the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
Meanwhile, the “Connection” area will serve as a rendezvous for tourism businesses and visitors, offering promotional programmes, new tours and attractive travel packages aimed at stimulating tourism demand.
One of the highlights of the event is the “Technology” zone, where visitors can explore modern digital tourism applications such as VR360 virtual reality, artificial intelligence tools, international online tourism platforms and information-support robots.
The festival will also feature the “Green Region” space introducing eco-tourism, rural tourism and outdoor leisure experiences at well-known destinations around Hanoi such as Ba Vi, My Duc, Son Son, Dong Mo, and Duong Lam.
Another space titled “Essence” will honour Hanoi’s traditional craft villages and cuisine, featuring demonstrations and tastings of iconic dishes. Visitors will also have opportunities to interact with artisans and chefs while taking part in culinary experiences.
In addition, various provinces including Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Tuyen Quang, Khanh Hoa, and Gia Lai will also join in the festival to introduce their tourism products, helping enhance tourism connectivity among localities.
During the three-day festival, thousands of tour packages and promotional vouchers will be introduced by tourism businesses to stimulate travel demand. The organisers will also showcase more than 300 digitalised tourist destinations in Hanoi, helping visitors easily access information and experience smart tourism services./.
