FPT Corporation has officially launched its office in Israel, marking a significant step in its global expansion strategy and reaffirming its long-term commitment to investing in core and strategic technologies.
The inauguration ceremony was held on January 13 via video link between Hanoi and Netanya of Israel, with the participation of FPT leaders, representatives from Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel, the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam, Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry, and leading technology firms and innovation organisations of the Middle Eastern country.
In Hanoi, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh highlighted strong similarities between Vietnam and Israel, noting their shared aspiration to drive development through education and technology.
He said Vietnam identifies technology as a strategic growth engine, with priorities including artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and semiconductors, adding that the presence of FPT, one of Vietnam's key technology firms, in Israel aims to learn from the country’s advanced startup ecosystem, technology education and innovation spirit while contributing technology-driven solutions to society.
In Isreal, Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of the FPT Information System (FPT IS) company, noted that FPT Israel focuses on technology cooperation, research and development, and the implementation of projects on AI, cybersecurity, data, semiconductor and other strategic technologies. The new office is also expected to create employment opportunities for local tech talent and contribute to the regional technology ecosystem.
The event also featured remarks from Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Nguyen Ky Son, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Yaron Mayer, and representatives of Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry, all underscoring strong potential for bilateral technology cooperation, particularly as the Vietnam – Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA) is being carried out intenstively.
A highlight of the launch was the introduction of partnerships between FPT and Israeli technology firms such as Enabley, CropX, Cyabra and CyberproAI, opening up opportunities for co-development, knowledge transfer and market expansion.
Israel, widely known as the “Startup Nation”, is a global leader in technology and innovation, especially cybersecurity, AI and semiconductors. FPT Israel will be based in Tel Aviv, often described as the technology capital of the Middle East, expected to enable the Vietnamese tech group to engage more deeply with one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems, thereby strengthening its competitiveness and stature in the international arena./.
