Fourth Vietnam Book Day opens in Hanoi

As many as 80 publishing houses and distribution companies are showcasing 40,000 book titles in different areas such as politics, law, economics, science, technology, among others, at 100 booths.

Around 20 events in regard to books and reading culture will take place within the framework of the fourth Vietnam Book Day, together with author-reader exchanges, seminars, talk-shows and book introduction.

Discounts and other activities will be offered to readers during the event, which will run through April 10.

This year’s Book Day is held in association with the 90th anniversary of the publication of President Ho Chi Minh’s “Duong Cach Menh” (The Revolutionary Path).

The event aims to encourage and develop reading culture in the community while appreciating efforts of those who are involved in book publishing such as book collectors, writers, publishers and distributors.
