Foreign leaders congratulate Vietnam on National Day

 Leaders of Malaysia, Switzerland, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have extended congratulations to Vietnamese leaders on the country’s 74th National Day (Sept. 2).

Malaysian King Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al Musta’in Billah sent a congratulatory letter to Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.

In the letter, the King stressed that the Vietnam-Malaysia strategic partnership has been developing fruitfully and will be further strengthened in the coming time. He expressed his belief that Vietnam will successfully fulfill its roles as Chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2020 and a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure.

Swiss President Ueli Maurer and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also sent messages of greetings to Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov cabled a message of congratulations to his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc

Meanwhile, Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah and Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis also sent messages of congratulations to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minster Pham Binh Minh.
