Flower offering in Cuba marks 50 years of late President’s testament

A flower offering ceremony has been held at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in Havana, Cuba on the occasion of the 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Nguyen Trung Thanh highlighted the everlasting political and historical value in the testament, as well as in President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career.

He reaffirmed his commitment to studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example, and implementing his testament by practical actions, thus contributing to developing the Vietnam-Cuba traditional relations.

The event also saw members of the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association in attendance.

The event was part of activities hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba to mark the 129th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament from May.

Other events included workshops, meetings, seminars, photo exhibitions, contests to learn about history and art performance programmes.
