First flight on Hanoi-Manila route to take off on March 31

The first direct flight linking Hanoi to the Philippines’ capital Manila will take off on March 31, aiming to promote tourist exchange between the two countries, Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced at a meeting with media in Hanoi on January 31.

From March 31, the airlines will operate four flights per week on the Hanoi-Manila route on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, taking off from Hanoi at 13:34 and landing in Manila at 17:30 the same day.

There will be four flights each week on the return leg on every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. They will leave Manila at 22:25 and reach Hanoi at 0:45 the next day.

On the new route, PAL will focus on introducing destinations of the Philippines as well as strong tourism potential of Vietnam, while highlighting the contributions of the western and eastern cultures in the architecture and cuisine of Hanoi.

PAL currently operates eight flights per week on the Manila-Ho Chi Minh City route.
