Famous Korean chef promotes cuisine in Vietnam

Famous Korean chef Lee Won-il introduced his native cuisine to young Vietnamese people during a cooking class at the Movenpick Hanoi hotel on November 5.

The class was part of a clean agro-fishery products marketing programme co-launched by the Korean agro-fishery trade company aT and the Hanoi branch of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, contributing to promoting cultural exchange of international cuisines.

Participants in the class were the winners from online cooking competitions as well as selected from the “I like K-Food” fanpage on Facebook.

Following the class, the outstanding Korean dishes will be added to the Movenpick Hanoi hotel’s menu.

As a well-known chef and television personality, Lee also partook in the Korean Temple Food Festival in New York.

Traditional Korean foods are becoming increasingly popular amongst Vietnamese people, namely kimchi, kimbab, bulgogi, cold noodle soup, and noodles with black bean sauce.
