Da Nang ironman contest opens for registration

Registration for the 2020 TECHCOMBANK IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam competition opened on July 26, offering early registration for 600 people in a two-month period.

The race’s organisers made the announcement in a statement, stating that early registrants will receive a complimentary option to personalise their race medals with their name and finish time.

Thousands of athletes are expected to join the 6th annual TECHCOMBANK IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam in Da Nang recently chosen as one of the 52 Places to Go in 2019’ by the New York Times, with a 15,000 USD professional prize purse on offer from May 7-10 next year.

The race also offers 56 qualifying slots to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Taupo, New Zealand later next year.

A grand ceremony was held March 27 evening in Bac Ninh province to receive UNESCO’s certificate inscribing the craft of making Dong Ho folk woodblock printings on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, and officially announce the Yen Tu–Vinh Nghiem–Con Son–Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes as a World Cultural Heritage site.
