Da Lat: Farm tours attractive to visitors

The resort city of Da Lat in the central highlands of Lam welcomed 2.4 million tourists in the first four months of this year, up 10 percent year on year, thanks to the introduction of a diverse range of tourism products like farm tours.

Apart from improving the quality of traditional tourist sites, the provincial tourism sector has put a major focus on developing and improving the quality of existing farm tours in order to provide tourists with a more varied and interesting experience.

Visitors can now pick red ripe strawberries, take beautiful photos amid the orchards, become involved in farming activities, and gain an insight into both organic farming and hydroponic vegetable growing models that can deliver a high quality and safe product to consumers.

Da Lat has over 30 standard tourist sites operating under the current model to serve tourists, Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Lam Dong provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, told Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV).

The locality has brought farming models into operation in order to turn the tourism sector into the province’s spearhead industry in the future, she added.

Ngoc emphasised that local authorities have strengthened promotional activities along with organisations and individuals to improve the service quality of these models.

Religious freedom must not be separated from civic responsibility

The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has repeatedly rejected what it calls “unobjective and inaccurate” claims in various reports. Most recently on March 4, the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) released its 2025 Annual Report on international religious freedom, which gave biased allegations about the religious situation in Vietnam.
