The Government Creates Favourable Conditions for Entrepreneurs

Chairing the first meeting with the Vietnamese business community held on April 29 in Ho Chi Minh City after taking office, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that the Government will create the best conditions for the development of entrepreneurs.
At the meeting themed “Vietnamese enterprises – the country’s economic development force”, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that businesses are the driver behind national economic development so the Government will create the most favourable conditions for start-up businesses and boost the development of enterprises in terms of both quantity and quality.  The state will protect legitimate rights and ensure the business rights of enterprises in line with the regulations of the law. Enterprises are allowed to operate in all sectors and in all forms that are not prohibited by law.

The meeting is live broadcast to 63 cities and provinces with the attendance of thousands of enterprises.

“All enterprises, regardless of size and ownership (excluding security and defense enterprises), and all economic sectors have equal access to resources such as capital, land, markets and business opportunities. The state ensures a long-term policy so businesses can feel secure in investing,” said the Prime Minister.

He asked the People’s Committees of provinces and cities to regularly hold meetings with investors and business owners to hear their recommendations and help them seek measures to tackle difficulties and obstacles.

It should  be important to every cadre  to be concerned about administrative reform, anti-red tape and corruption and the strong shift to the spirit of the authority serving and supporting enterprises.

The leader also guided to erase unsuitable economic conditions, including  peripheral licenses; and strictly prohibit the promulgation of any new business condition that goes against the law. He also agreed with the suggestion of creating favourable conditions for enterprises to start-up businesses and he will guide to  build a private resolution of the government on business development.

Participating in the meeting were Deputy Prime Ministers Truong Hoa Binh, Vuong Dinh Hue, Vu Duc Dam and Trinh Dinh Dung and other government members. Also at the meeting were Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Secretary Dinh La Thang; Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh;  Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Le Minh Tri; leaders of localities; and representatives of thousands of businesses, including foreign investors and associations which are operating in Vietnam.
