Romania’s 99th Great Union Day observed in Hanoi

Hanoi, November 25 (VNA) – The Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association held a ceremony in Hanoi on November 25 to mark Romania’s 99th Great Union Day (December 1, 1918-2017). 

The association’s President Tong Van Nga congratulated Romanian people on their great achievements over the past years, while thanking for their support for Vietnam’s past struggle for national liberation and current nation building cause. 

Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Valeriu Arteni affirmed that the two countries’ traditional friendship is growing well. 

Speaking of the role played by the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association, he said that the association is a bridge which has helped boost mutual understanding between the two peoples and step up cooperation between enterprises of the two countries. 

Vietnam and Romania set up their diplomatic relations in February 1950.
