National Assembly continues plenary session

Hanoi, May 24 (VNA) – National Assembly (NA) convened the plenary session in Hanoi on May 24 under the chair of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

Lawmakers heard a report on acquiring feedback on the draft Law on amendments and supplements to several articles of the Penal Code No.100/2015/QH13 delivered by member of the NA Standing Committee and head of the NA’s Judicial Committee Le Thi Nga.

Later, 48 deputies gave opinions on regulations on several kinds of crimes, charges, convictions regarding national security violation, economic management, drug, environment, food safety, among others.

As scheduled on May 25 morning, the NA will hear reports examining the draft amended Law on Public Debt Management, the draft Law on Foreign Trade Management.

In the afternoon, legislators will discuss in groups the socio-economic performance and State budget 2016 and the first months of 2017, and the State budget balance 2015.
